the Switcher is a SW1001 ex Korean Railways and 1000hp, being a compromise unit created out of an SW1200 with SW1000 8-645 engine and lower clearance cab.
The NRE WP&Y units are six axle not 4, turbo-supercharged 16 Cyl not 8 Cyl and have Dynamic Brakes. The Sw1001 is not exactly designed for the road and high speed, high horsepower usage. Nearest N.G. unit to the SW1001 powerwise would be our NZR DBR. see GVR DBR rebuild
and if you want a real size comparison how about this eh!
