Dear Dave:
Thank you very much for this information! Of course it confuses things a bit more than they were, but it gives me an excuse to visit Cedar Point again.
FYI, the 2nd edition of The Steam Locomotive Directory of North America will have a section listing "fragments" (boilers, frames, etc.) and the remains of Davenport c/n 2081 will certainly qualify.
Does your Vulcan frame have the construction number stamped on it?
