Ye, I'm very familiar with 630. It was my first cab ride ever, at the age of 11. My Mom and Dad grew up along Stoney Creek, just east of Elizabethton and they lived in town after they were married in 1960.They both clearly remember seeing these engines running almost every day.
I was born in 69, so I never got to see them there. My brother was born in 64 and Dad was going to show him a steam engine on one of those visits (my brother and I were born after Mom and Dad moved to Florida) but sadly Dad picked the Christmas the year they were traded to the SRR for those RS-3s. My brother would have been 3 at the time, and if they'd gone just a month or two earlier, he would probably remember seeing it to this day.
By the time we went to TVRM that one time as a family, I already knew that 630 used to be ET&WNC 207, so I was well aware of it on that cab ride.
You never forget your first...
I've been back to TVRM twice in recent years. Once was a week day and no steam was running. The other, in 2017, was for the Summerville trip but they ran 4501 that trip.

Sure, I would have loved to have seen 630 in steam again (I saw her cold in 2012), I hadn't seen 4501 in steam since I was 4 years old. It ran through my hometown of Tallahassee Florida in 74 on a ferry run for a SRR steam trip to Jacksonville, the only time it ever came through. It was amazing to see 4501 in steam again. A double-header of 4501 and 630 would have been the best, though.
I still plan on getting back to TVRM again. I go to Huntsville to do the "Astronaut thing" at the adult space camp every few years and I try to tie it in with a trip there. I'm 50 now and not that old, but I know how fast time goes and I want to get one more cab ride on 630 before I'm done...
