Jason, please check your PMs when you get a chance.
The Friends might replace a few boards, or, every piece of wood on a car. Some of the 120-ish cars in our care are original at 100 years, some seem to be on their 4th/5th rebuild, including one or two builds by us. But you'll always need the hardware, and, it's really hard to imagine how much there really is, from the railhead up. For the money, building a new car from scratch would be preposterously expensive.
Keep in mind, there are lots of bones still available, including the "Monte Vista 9".
