The study of the quality of coal is a voluminous subject available in good state libraries. Look for mining journal. The specification of all locations and volumes shipped can be found.
As for maps to the mine railroad, see RGS Story volume IX and future XI. Volume VIII had Mancos Coal Co. and Montezuma Lumber. Volume VII has Beaver Creek. Logging Along the D&RG had RG&SW and Monero.
