Thank you gentlemen for the information. My little town of Manteca, .CA has 11 grade crossings in 6 miles. UP/SP has announced the tripling of traffic, as well as our commuter trains which they predict will bring a train every 24 minutes thru town; currently every 70 minutes. RRs are legally permitted to block the tracks for about 25 minutes, which does off happen now. The town leaders are looking at alternatives..ocer/unsurpassed, trench, closing some if the grade crossings all altogether.
$$$ as usual is the limiting factor.
