The new autos that we received at our family dealership (prior to the Great Depression)were
blocked up with copious amounts of lumber in
box cars labeled "Auto Cars" by virtue of having
a door that was wider that the usual 5 or 6 feet
of the standard box car.
When the autos entered NG country what did they do
when the autos were transferred to NG cars about
securing them in the NG cars? Who stood the cost
of the transfer and the reblockimg? I know it filtered down th the auto buyer eventually, but
who paid when it was actually being done?
