Just to show the sections of the NE Dundas Tramway grade that can be hiked or driven (?), here are a couple of maps (not to the same scale) that show the route of the RR, the blue line indicating the sometimes drivable section. The RR starting point, Zeehan, is at the lower left corner of the google view.

The 2 foot gauge served the mining complex at Williamsford, where ore brought by a 2 foot gauge incline railroad from the Hercules mine was loaded into the Tramway cars.

The yard at Zeehan served to reload the ore from the 2 foot gauge trains into 3 ft 6 in gauge cars . A couple of other 2 foot gauge lines also connected here.

Originally the 2 foot gauge was powered by 0-4-0T engines that quickly proved too small

Next came the two Sharp Stewart 0-4-2T engines that still did not provide adequate power for the steep grades
