Insofar as the C&TS Fiftieth Anniversary is concerned, note that – because 2020 is a leap year and the calendar gets "bumped" by a day on February 29 – every date from March 1st onward will fall on the exact same day of the week as it fell in 1970.  Thus the fiftieth anniversary of the arrival in Antonito of the first shipment of D&RGW locos and cars from Alamosa, on Tuesday, 09/01/1970,¹ will fall on Tuesday, 09/01/2020, and the fiftieth anniversary of the arrival of the first C&TS train into Chama, on Sunday, 09/06/1970,² will fall on Sunday, 09/06/2020.  The dates and days and will remain matched through 2021, but since there was a February 29 in 1972 but there's not one in 2022, they will again be off by one day after February 28, 2022 . . .
