The digital cameras can do so much more than we could with film. Some people contend that we do not need super high resolution, but they either forget or do not know that higher resolution gives you a greater dynamic range. With film you often could get good highlights or good shadows but not both. 60 megapixel cameras are on the horizon from Nikon, Canon, and Sony already has one. I am waiting for the Nikon Z9. Been a Nikon guy since 1961, Air Force and Navy have always used Nikon and still do.
