Tony, the snow fighting project was the biggest of my research efforts. I have over 4000 pages of notes, started the research in 1973 at the suggestion of Robert (Bob) Richardson. I have over a thousand photos. Books (would have been two volumes) would have covered the D&RGW standard gauge too as there was more snow fighting on the standard gauge than the narrow gauge.
The new rules and restrictions put in place by the Colorado Railroad Museum library made it impossible for me to complete the research, so the project will never be completed (by me at least, perhaps someone else wants to do 40 years of research). I will be doing a clinic on D&RGW/RGS snow fighting at the 2020 Narrow Gauge Convention, so will be able to share a tiny bit of it.
