#481 still had her dog house when she passed thru Chama on her way from Alamosa to Durango on Dec. 5 - 6, 1968.

Technically, #473 was the last narrow-gauge locomotive shopped in Alamosa, during the Autumn of 1968 -
Although the work done on her was probably not as extensive as the complete rebuild done on #481 in 1966 and the heavy shopping of #497 the following year. See [
