While I am saddened that No. 18's tenure at the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad has come to this, I am glad that she, No. 20, and SP No. 1744 have found (at least for now) potential re-opportunities at finding better homes. I don't mean to sound like a foamer, but if I had the cash and power to purchase, transport, and temporarily store one of them, I would select No. 18 (whom I have fond memories of while she was operating at the Grand Canyon Railway) and give her to a smaller tourist operation like say, the Santa Cruz, Big Trees & Pacific Railway (Roaring Camp Railroad's standard gauge line to the Boardwalk).
