Looks like they may have at least temporarily re-purposed 69's tender. When I talked to them a few years ago, that really wasn't necessary. The 73 could make it all the way to Fraser without stopping and there was a tank in Fraser. Could be just a safety measure, or perhaps the tank is inoperative at Fraser.
I do remember that blue water car being positioned at Glacier Siding during the rotary run, when the 69 was in use. Since she had no superheaters, she did need a water stop on the way to White Pass or Fraser.
