We found that we could skirt the tree to the right of the railroad grade and continued on our way. About 50 feet past the large fallen tree was a spur heading off the the right:
This spur is indicated on the map as the first spur after the grade turns to the west. It was only about 1/8 of a mile long.

Towards the end, there was a large pile of large diameter wire rope:
For a short while I had hopes that an un-mapped incline lay at the end of the spur, but that was not the case...
Retracing my steps, we continued on towards Granite Creek Gap. Here's a nice view of the ROW about 1/2 mile further on:
The fire was more severe here...
