But, as Tom has pointed out, it was a little hard to tell by late summer. Here's what she looked like on August 17:

May 21, 2025 will be the 75th anniversary of #489 wearing a green jacket for a Rocky Club excursion on the Rio Grande:
SFAIK this was the only time that a K-36 wore green while under D&RGW ownership, and I have no idea how long her jacket remained green after May 21, 1950.
Six Five years should give you plenty of time to make arrangements . . .
