As for pre 1900 engines..... 315/425/3 will be operational in Chama. I do believe that 168 will be also. As for others, I can think of several more out there, Eureka, Glenbrook, RGS 20(if ready). Costs to transport to and fro are high, but it could happen. Part of the problem ( as discussed in another thread) is these are small engines, rated tonnage is low, which means that number of cars of paying passengers/photogs they can haul is limited, and so the cost of excursions goes up. Double heading helps, but costs go up also...
But picture this...... 5 pre 1900 engines, all stemed up, setting together on adjacent tracks for a photo line, and then again at night. Where else could one shoot such a historic gathering of NG steam. And then add in 4 K's, live behind them. Potential for 9 live NG engines in one picture.... Historic... Worth twice the price of admission. or 4 "E" tickets...
