I just watched the film in question, and attempted to video tape it with the camera. Not sure how great it will look but I will attempt to capture it into the computer in the next couple of days and post it.
It may actually be the same train Olaf was on. 483 is the power and is going eastbound, same as Olaf's shot. He has riding the train on either side of this shot, so I thinking there was a runny there. Next we see the train going through Monero.
One question....is there part of the rock or another rock formation on the other side of the 492 rock? Seems in the movie clip there was more on the other side of the track. Its probably the same place, and once I check it out again in the computer will compare with Olaf's pick again.
The trip in question was westbound with 483 and a yellow box car, a baggage car, and the coaches. There was one or two rider gone....high side gone with roofs, probably off the Silverton train. There was a trip to Silverton in there, then 483 back to Chama and up the hill. The Rock was eastbound from Durango. Interestingly 483 did not have a helper from Chama!!! The guy shot another excursion and tried to intermingle the two from Chama up Cumbers, but one was doubleheaded and one was single engine. That was odd!!!
