WOT: Paws in our regular programming . . .

Both versions are probably common, Brian -

They're variations on a theme.  Tom's version is more accurate when it comes to Bosco, my grumpy old Dutch bulldog (technically a 'Brabanter Büllenbeisser', IIRC).  But Otis, my younger Lab-Cocker mix, definitely treats me like I'm his Daddy (which is not too surprising, since many folks have figured out that I'm a genuine son-of-a-bitch).
