Jim, both railroads are primarily dependent on agriculture. Some traffic from the perlite plant south of Antonito and a few small chemical industries. I see both railroads almost every time I travel from Durango to Denver and it depends on the time of the year.
I caught a west bound freight with four of the FP40s near Fort Garland in December.
The San Luis Central can be very busy at times. Shot the first photo near Center in July.
