Here are a few more contrasting views from May 12 to15 for comparison -- snowy views of the biggest on standard gauge and 476 and 480 in the Animas River canyon
4014 and 844 east of Morgan, Utah , on May 12 2019
On May 14 engine 476 was leading the first return train near milepost 492 on the Silverton branch. The snow slide at this location still has a lot of melting to do, and the river is running high
