This morning, April 9, SP 18 left with a 4-car Cascade excursion. The train was on time until Hermosa where the water tank was dry or nearly so. The train then backed to Hermosa Creek where some very muddy water was siphoned. Leaving about 30 minutes late, the train started the steep climb toward Rockwood.
