I always thought that was a waste of Baldwin's time. The RGS was about a broke as it could be, and they asked about a new locomotive? How they were planning to get a 2-10-2 around a 24 degree curve on crappy track would have been interesting. The 2-6-6-2 idea could at least go around the curves....
