Re: Regauging a steam locomotive - a question about engineering

After a quick search of YouTube, I found a video of a Brazilian meter-gauge 2-10-2 and one of a 2-10-4.

While I doubt either could handle the curves of the Rio Grande's San Juan Extension, I'm curious if these two examples would be candidates for regauging or even if a 3 foot factory built version could have operated on the Rio Grande if some improvements were made to the curvature and bridges.
