GSM actually has potential, as well as a perhaps more receptive community in their part of the smokies. Tourism doesn't provide full employment in that valley, but it would mean working with the local economic development group to try to 'build out' a couple firms to generate traffic. Wood chips is an obvious one.
Mt. Ranier is dicier, as I suspect there is more 'spare cash' floating around in the resident's pockets from outside employers. And the D&S is obviously not a candidate.
