Is this the eastbound at Lobato you were describing? It's certainly a unique vantage point.

This Frank Barry photo at Rock Tunnel won a Center for Railroad Photography & Art award a few years ago:

I've been on top of Rock Tunnel a few times, but have never seen this view. The last time I was there I figured out that it was taken on a lower ledge, which appeared very difficult to get to. So Mr Barry certainly wasn't afraid of heights!!
