my builder Peter thanks you for the images and notes , he wrote.
"Thank you, some of the shots I have found but the one labelled 'car 50-C-Notes' is golden. What it shows me is that the drive wheels are not pivoted off the frame and that only the front axle of the rear pair is driven. I would guess that the rear axle is allowed sideplay to compensate on bends. That would give a setup like this:-
Front bogie ---Rotate horizontally /no sideplay. This steers the car on bends.
Centre rotating drive axle ---No horizontal rotation/ no side play There will be provision to adjust this wheel longitudinally for chain tension adjustment..I would also guess that this axle is not spring mounted because of the chain drive.
Rear rotating carrying/no drive axle ---No horizontal rotation/Side play allowed to compensate on bends.
I also have the 'steering wheel' pegged as the brake wheel and the small link chain visible between the bogies is for the brakes on the rear wheels. It appears to be about 90 degrees to the shaft. There is a foot pedal for the clutch and a gear change lever with a 'dog' lifter handle. It is not very clear but I'm guessing that the levers by the wheel are throttle, and mixture or spark advance/retard.
I have no excuses now.
Peter"
thanks for the model T images too , he has that on the cards to do later.
