While there may not be as large a percentage of Schenectady as we would like in 20 she is 100% RGS. They did everything they could to keep her on the road. I think it is neat that 22 and 25 live on in several forms on 20.
Here is a short list of what has been changed as seen by my own eyes, photos and paperwork in my personal collection. Right off the bat it was found that 20 had cracked cylinders in late 1935. New castings were purchased from the D&RGW and installed in early 1936. They have a casting date of 12-20-35. Beyond that 20 has a Baldwin style smoke box front, 22s smoke stack, F&CC #4s bell, a Baldwin steam dome cover, some of the driving boxes are D&RGW castings, and of course 25s tender. Chances are there are more smaller parts, possibly suspension components and maybe side rods.
