My view no more no less. Since I don't have any information that is not available to anybody else I guess a better way of saying it is MY GUESS.
I believe the top three priorities as far as the commission & the RGRPC are concerned are the master Plan, Engines & Track.
Schedules: I expect will be announced at the Commission meeting on 12-6-03: This is much better for marketing than has been done in the past. This also allows time for people to plan their vacations. This also allows the new General Shop Forman to get his report ready on how it is we will have 3 engines.
Master Plan: For many years now the Railroad has needed a master plan. No question about it. The LFC this year asked for one so they can fund the railroad. Basically what they said was bring us a master plan and we will fund the railroad. I have been told foundation money is available but not without a master plan. Many things discussed in the meeting are in addition to the Engines & Track. Why would anybody think our railroad should only work on one or two things at a time. I think focusing on only a couple of things is like wearing blinders. It doesn't allow you to plan for the future and won't allow you to be flexible when the need arises.
I think that most of the questions being asked will be answered in the master plan & at the Dec. 6, 2003 meeting.
IMHO: The top 3 priorities are.
1. Engines
1. Track
1. Master Plan
