Henry was one of those railfans who was not only a nice guy, but he was instrumental in making things happen. I knew Henry for years, but never quite appreciated all that he did until reading all the kudos that are pouring in about him. He put up part of the money for the first loco purchase that led to what is now the Pacific Locomotive Association collection and their Niles Canyon Railway. He created Key Tours, one of the major rail oriented travel services which sponsored the popular winter "fun trains" between the Bay Area and Reno. But mostly he is remembered for his personality, he could get along with anyone. I like Tom's description of him being "qently unrelenting" in arranging trips over obscure branches with unusual power. The rail preservation scene in the Bay Area has lost a good man.
