You'll probably never see one in 36" gage - there just isn't a demand for them as few of the remaining railroads do any kind of heavy haul.

Now for meter gage - GE is selling a ES43BBi as a catalog model out of their Brazil plant.

Now here is a beast - 220 tons on 8 axles, lighter than a modern US 6-axle. And - 4,300 hp with 132,275 pounds of continuous tractive effort - or about three K-36 with a K-27 thrown in for good measure.
