It appears that the seventeen boxcars loaded with drilling supplies and the two bulkhead flats of wallboard were left at Carbon Junction, and five empties brought into Durango along with the caboose

#483 crossed the new diamond where the coaling tower and water tank had been demolished so a loop for turning The Silverton could be installed
