At this point we are busy with:
Running our regular trains
Preparing for the 50th anniversary running of the last revenue freight train.
Rehearsing for a "Murder Mystery" dinner train
Peparation for the running of a special operation of the #315 as it looked when first purchased by the D&RG (#425) along with an RPO and restored coach #292.
The restoration of the #168
The rebuilding of historic coach #256
The building of two new premium service cars for regular service
Getting ready for the FOCTS charter operations in late September, re-lettering #463 as another K-27
Preparing for hosting the HeritageRail Alliance annual convention to be held in Santa Fe in early November.
Developing plans for a winter car storage facility
Work on the #497 is also on the list and I will keep you all posted when there is something to report.
The rumors about its condition are just that, rumors.
