Trout Brook bridge original structure and the "Mason's Wreck" of 1905

Here are some photos of the 1905 wreck showing the original pony truss bridge structure at the same location (sometimes called Carleton Brook). This accident is commonly known as the "Masons' Wreck" because the train was a charter excursion for a local Masonic lodge. Engine No. 4 went in the water but was eventually hauled out using a block and tackle and a yoke of oxen.
