To my knowledge 494 as never been west of the US 285 crossing. It and 495 used to sit east to the little depot (now the Commission offfice) on (if my memories are correct) on disconected track. It got moved to where it is when the new facility was built in 1977. It's only move since then was into and out of the Antonito engine house when the (-insert "A" word here -) was removed and the new jacket was made. 495 made a trip across the hill (dead in tow) in order to make use of its usable drivers under the 484 when 484 was overhauled in 1984-85. I think it came west in Oct 83. It sat in Chama until we hauled it back in Oct of 87 (?).
