While the NGDF search feature has some significant 'issues',eye rolling smiley it is possible to use Google as a pretty good substitute. Just follow the example below ...

489 retired 1962 site:ngdiscussion.net

Typing (or pasting) the above phrase into a Google search box gets a NGDF thread list that includes this informative thread from 2014:

[ngdiscussion.net]

If you'd like to use that search feature for other topics, assuming you want to see only NGDF results, only change the search words to the LEFT of the "site:" keyword. If you do retype the search example, the "site:ngdiscussion.net" needs to be exactly that - don't add spaces, omit the colon, or make other changes. But once you get the hang of it, you can use similar syntax to make Google search other sites, if you wish.
