1968 was an interesting year

Thanks Rader for finding Tom's pix. For me 1968 was an interesting year, some bad some good. The major bad is I chased my last DRGW freight.

But I got to Mexico just in time to catch a bit of seam both narrow and standard gauge. Narrow gauge steam was still switching San Lazaro yard in Mexico City.

And a few big Niagara 4-8-4's were still running out of Valle de Mexico.

And there was still steam on the Unidas de Yucutan.

But most importantly for me I discovered a whole new world of steam in Guatemala and El Salvador that was to keep me busy for the next ten years.
