Yesterday we had a good work day in Como with around 25 volunteers. We completed radial track #20 by adding another rail section then we started radial track #22 by completing the first rail section and starting the second. The radial sections are difficult because the rail height has to match the turntable bridge which means we have to dig pits for the ties.
While digging for #20 we found an intact historic tie with a spike still in it. You will see it in the third pictures. We also found a cylinder cock! It is shown in the last two pictures.
