A few more shots for your viewing pleasure....
The track crew at work near the end of the day. Legendary gandy dancer John Meixel himself can be seen pounding in a spike.
An overall view of the day's work, one radial track finished (extended one rail length) and gondola 1267 moved to the end, another radial track started.
The wheel set display was finished. (located by the site of the car shop, photos show the C&S stored wheelsets here). We built the track in December of 2017, moved the first two wheelsets in May and finally finished Saturday. The little Ford 8N tractor that was donated to the South Park Rail Society in May was used to pull the wheelsets along the ground to their new home.
