After reading a couple of different posts this last week, I have a few questions.
1. Would the use of tie plates extend the life of the tie any? Enough to justify the cost?
2. Since the ties that are currently installed are closer the normal together, would the use of tie plates allow the spacing of the ties further apart?
3. How many of you would object to doing this?
