One thing I have not mentioned about the car is the back story of the right side maker lamp. This lamp came to us from a private collection, and is an authentic Uintah lamp. After looking the lamp over and some careful research we believe this lamp was used on 50. It was electrified, has the same dent as can be seen in a historic photo and has a custom notch in the bracket to position he lamp correctly on 50. Sadly the collector only had the right side lamp, Maybe someday the left lamp will be found. Until then a similar left side lamp will be used. The left side has no railroad name on it but it is tagged left.
Both lamps were wired with modern componants. The URY lamp will now stay with 50 once more and will be used whenever she runs.
Closeup of the URY Co tag. On the other side it has RIGHT.
This is the finished baggage floor.
This is the passenger floor after the first coat of poly.
