Chris...one summer I cleaned and fixed the front number boards on 484/487/489 (none on 483) which all needed housing cleanouts, number glass pane cleaning, clear glass pane replacements, re-wired 489's bulbs.
But, nobody kept up their maintenance.
Too bad.
Makes the locos look sloppy, neglected.
