Early on there was a gallows TT at Monarch. 3rd division timetable of 3/28/20 still lists a T at Monarch. So does the 1923 offical roster of the D&RGW, with the notation not used. 50' turntable.
As to quarrys at Garfield, the following might be of interest: Garfield-MP 232.99, Hubbard Quarry (no track in '23)-MP 233.32, O&C Lime Quarry-MP 234.12, Leonard (no track) MP 234.36, Monarch-MP 235.30. (from roster)
In 1920 therre was still a bi-weekly mixed to Monarch listed:
Train 331 (Tues. & Sat.) Lv Salida 7:10 am, Poncha Jct 7:45, Maysville 8:35, Garfield 9:40, Ar Monarch 11:20
Train 332 (Tues. & Sat.) Lv Monarch 11:45 am, Garfield 12:45 pm, Maysville 1:45 pm, Poncha Jct 3:15 pm, arr Salida 4:00 pm. (note: in 1920 train 315 [Marshall Pass Route Express] left Salida at 6:00 am...)
According to CRA #24, trains 331/332 were gone from the timetable by June of 1921.
1947 D&RGW profiles list 65 & 85 lb rail on Monarch branch laid in 1929 (some 90 lb from 1945) so presumably that would be when the line was improved for use of heavier engines. (K-27 and up)
