#7 in steam was quite a surprise to some of the WW&F crew as their train worked past the Maine Locomotive & Machine shop on Saturday. When #7's whistle was heard up at Alna Center, the Easter field crew thought the WW&F train was coming. Once they heard #9's whistle they knew the difference. Our friends at Maine Narrow Gauge and ML&M have done a super job getting #7 rebuilt and we look forward to riding behind #7 in Portland.
Here's WW&F #9 at Alna Center, it's easy to see how much larger #7 is. It'll be impressive seeing #7 running along the Portland waterfront.
