Interesting.... From the retirement dates, it looks as if they ran steam in NZ far longer than they did here in America. These steam engines are youngsters compared with most of what we have running. It appears as if "Jessica" is a coal-burner and "Nigel" is an oil-fired loco.....do I have that right? Of the two, Jess is definitely the more photogenic. Not a fan of that fairing they put on Nigel's nose. He looks like he wants to be a diesel when he grows up.
