Nice picture! Red OM in deep snow. Picture really illustrates how narrow the tender was. You can't see it at all. You can see all the way back to the top of the water legs on the aux tender. The big Uintah 30/W-499 tender that is behind it now is just as wide as the rotary body.
There is a picture that is also in the Payne collection with the friends that shows this deep snow with similar consist and the same OM configuration after the truss rods were added but still with the box headlight. It is dated 1932. Same era.
