487 had been running since 1974. 1977 was year of big happenings on the C&TS with the new loop, yard and depot being built in Antonito and the new shop going up in Chama. Looking at the almost-broadside of 487 (3rd pic), I don't recognize the guy on the left, but the middle guy looks like Gary Getman, the guy on the right is Doug Stamps.

Interesting it the tank car and spout for watering the engines at the ashpit. The original ramp for loading tenders with coal is on the right.
