About seven or eight years ago I talked a good friend of mine into a trip to Chama. He was, skeptical at best, about my ravings when describing the place. The old, "it can't be 'that' good" sort of thing.
We arrived late in the afternoon, just in time to watch 463 shove a cut of boxcars through the yard. The next hour or so was spent enjoying the sights and sounds of a charter freight being broken up and put away.
Needless to say, he was, and is a convert.
