I talked to George at the NNGC in Denver this year and there was no mention of not having a manufacturer. The issue that I had heard what that they were working on turning the model into a manufacturable model. Around that time they lost their drafter (mechanical designer that would create the parts), and were searching for someone that could pick up where that person left off.

As far as other models, I know that the rumor was that they lost all of the molds for the other cars. That isn't true either. They have the molds to make the cars they have done, but like everywhere they had found out that pricing increases in China were making it uneconomical to produce those cars in the current state. But again...to change anything, that requires a drafter (mechanical designer).

I'm sure somethings have changed by then (or at least I am hoping they have). And my comments weren't' directed as critical, but more as hoping that they could express more information at what was going on. They don't have to give a date...but just let folks know what is going on. Not talking about anything makes it seem that nothing is going on. It's all about perception.
