Well, Rich -

There was at least one shipper south of the depot in La Jara who shipped a lot of reefer loads at least into the early sixties.  The reefers themselves were standard gauge, but the motive power that moved them between Alamosa and the shipper was often narrow gauge – see [ngdiscussion.net].
